Women are change makers. They reshape, refashion and transfigure.

This project lays out the contributions women have made to American democracy as journalists and acknowledges the vital and critical role they played in the decade of the 1970s as trailblazers in the newly emerging realm of television news. Finally, American women saw reflections of themselves on the local and national news.

This project is dedicated to recording contributions of these brave women in those early years when TV news was birthed.

Their stories are told simply, without embellishment, sometimes with laughter. History, take note.
