Women of the 70’s

Women in the 70’s began to get more jobs in radio and television newsrooms across the United States, working in local stations and at the networks. Yet, they were a severe minority and many of them went through discrimination, harassment, heartbreak, even personal attacks. Yet, as you will hear, they all loved their work.

They were the trailblazers.

Our goal is to record their stories in video form.

Our mission is let them be seen and heard. Recorded for history. We hope students, historians, the public, will be able to learn something from hearing what they have to say from experiences of the 60’s and 70’s.
